1. Did you know that a box jellyfish has 24 eyes? They have two on the top and two on the bottom. These eyes have a very strong lens. The rest of the eyes are more primitive.

2. Did you know that a peregrine falcon can fly at speeds of 230 mph? But they can only go that fast when they are stooping. Stooping is when a bird tucks in its feathers and dives.

3. Did you know that a giraffe has a purple tongue? The reason of this unusual color is Protection from the sun. The color deflects the sun, thus the giraffe doesn't get sunburn on its tongue. Also its tongue is rough so it doesn't get hurt by the thorns of the plants it eats.

4. Did you know that an electric eel can deliver a shock of 600 volts? That's more than the voltage supplied in any country!  What happens is that the eel had electrocytes (cells that create electricity) in its body. Then it changes the charges of the electrocytes very quickly. This creates a huge voltage, thus, zapping the enemy or prey.
